New details have been revealed by the SPAK action carried out today in Lezha, where 20 arrest warrants have been issued. Sources for ABC suggest that 7 people have been arrested so far.
In co-operation with the Norwegian authorities, the Special Prosecution Office against Corruption and Organized Crime has cracked down on a structured criminal group after being accused of cocaine traffics and money laundering.
According to SPAK, the Albanian F.P has created and led a structured criminal group which made it possible to send different quantities of narcotics (cocaine and marijuana) to Norway, quantities that were sold by his representatives in this country. F. P has also managed to create a network of distributors of narcotics (mainly cocaine and marijuana) which consists of Albanian citizens, but also foreigners. Proceeds from the criminal activity of drug trafficking were sent to F. P. and his other clients through money transfer agencies or even cash. The Court has imposed the security measure “prison arrest” on this person. It is learned that SPAK has declared F.P.
Meanwhile, SPAK announces that a woman with the initials AA was left under “house arrest”. She is accused of being suspected of committing the criminal offenses of “Production and sale of narcotics”, committed in collaboration in the form of a structured criminal group. Establishment of a structured criminal group”,“ Commitment of criminal offenses by a criminal organization and a structured criminal group ”.
Also, the Norwegian Judicial Authorities have imposed the security measure “prison arrest” on some persons who are suspected of being part of the same structured criminal group.
SPAK carried out the control of some apartments and the personal control of some citizens in the cities of Tirana and Lezha. During the control, various documents of interest for the investigation were found and seized as material evidence.
ABC learns that Tanush Lekgegaj and Pashk Lala, who are accused of producing and distributing narcotics, have been handcuffed in Lezha. Meanwhile, Gjin Kola, Leonard Kola and Ilir Prenga who have been arrested are accused of being a structured criminal group in the field of narcotics.
