A 22-year-old from Shkodra was arrested this Sunday in the framework of police operation coded “Station”.
Police revealed that the young man was caught red-handed transporting immigrants from third countries, who intended to cross illegally from Albania to the EU countries, against the amount of 500 Euros per person.
Vehicle driven by the 22-year-old was located on the “Gjirokastër-Kakavijë” road segment, where police officers gave him a stop order and were able to arrest him at the entrance to Gjirokastër.
From the checks on the vehicle and from other procedural actions, it turned out that he was transporting from Shkodra to Greece, 4 immigrants from third countries, who intended to cross illegally from Albania to EU countries.
As material evidence, the “Mercedes Benz” type vehicle and 2 mobile phones were seized.
