Special Prosecutor’s Office (SPAK) has accepted this Wednesday the requests of the lawyers of former Prime Minister Sali Berisha and Jamarbër Malltez, postponing the interrogation sessions for next week.
Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha was summoned on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. to the Special Prosecutor’s Office to be questioned as a person under investigation for the criminal offense of corruption.
But the former prime minister’s lawyers have asked for a postponement of the session, as they claim that they have an agenda set for Thursday, asking for another time and date to accompany Berisha.
Former prime minister has been kept in isolation in his apartment since December 30, after the court ordered house arrest at the request of the prosecutor’s office.
Special Prosecutor’s Office will interrogate Jamarbër Malltezi on Wednesday, who is also under house arrest.
Meanwhile, son-in-law of former Prime Minister Berisha was arrested by SPAK for corruption and money laundering, for the same issue of the privatization of the former “Partizani” complex./abcnews.al
