A Serbian policeman suspected of being part of an organized crime group has fled to Albania from Montenegro, Montenegrin police said.
Police officer Danilo Stojanovic escaped from border police at the Grncar crossing between Montenegro and Albania after his car was stopped. “After a personal identity check, police officers drove the vehicle to the second checkpoint, but the officer left the vehicle to escape,” police said, adding that there was no order for Stojanovic when he entered Mal. Danilo Stojanovic is suspected of being part of an organized crime group led by suspected drug boss Darko Saric, who was arrested last week along with several members of the group in a co-ordinated operation by EUROPOL and EUROJUST in Serbia and Croatia.
