Prime Minister Edi Rama reacted after Serbia announced three days of mourning for the death of terrorist Serbs in Banjska of Zveçan.

Through a post on social networks, he considered this decision as the worst signal that Serbia could give to the region and the Euro-Atlantic community. According to Rama, Belgrade is fanning the flames of an armed conflict like never before since 1999.

He considered it not only unjustifiable and unacceptable, but condemnable with all the force of words and instruments available to the Euro-Atlantic community.

“The officially announced mourning in Belgrade for the members of the armed group that were destroyed by the security forces of the Republic of Kosovo, after the life of a police officer was taken from that group, is the worst signal that Serbia could give to the region and the community Euro-Atlantic!

While it should have opened a serious investigation into the members of that criminal group, their connections with arms traffickers and other individuals or entities, in Serbia or elsewhere, potentially engaged in creating an armed movement in the North of Kosovo, Belgrade, with this black proclamation that has nothing to do with the 21st century, is fanning the flames of an armed conflict like never before since 1999!

This is the moment when the European Union and the United States must clearly and decisively decide whether they will raise the democratic alarm to the highest level to stop the escalation of the conflict in the North of Kosovo, which has entered its most dangerous phase, since 1999 or will they continue to keep the Dialogue for Normalization and the commitment of KFOR at the same level which is completely insufficient now!”
