Parliamentary Committee on National Security has rejected the decree of the President of the Republic, Ilir Meta to return to the Parliament for reconsideration of the law on “State Police”.
This law must now be passed to the Parliamentary Committee on Legal Affairs, Public Administration, and Human Rights and then to the Parliament for the voting process.
In the argument that accompanies the decree for returning of this law, President Meta states that through this law a path is created for the tracking and surveillance of citizens and political opponents in view of the elections of April 25, 2021./abcnews.al
