The Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, present at the presentation of measures to increase security in schools, said that the government’s vision is to continue with the increase in quality in education, but also in the safety of students and better conditions for teachers.

He emphasized that today 240 security officers have been deployed throughout the country.

“They are the fruit of a 10-year investment, that according to the volume of work done, according to the volume of funds made available, we have managed to build and rebuild in these ten years more than in these 40 years taken together.

It is not only the quantity, but also the quality, the teachers of the “Kosova” school know very well the odyssey of this school, which is a school not only for Tirana, but also for Albanian education, which was burned down, to make a way for a construction site.

We stopped the plan to build a building,” he said.

He specifically focused on the salary increase for teachers. According to him, the average salary of teachers in Albania today is 950 euros.

The head of government added that the goal is that in 2030, Albania will be the champion of the region in every aspect.

“Today, with the intervention at the end of June, we have achieved that the average salary of teachers is 950 euros, which is a very significant increase, within which there is also an escalation according to the experience and established criteria, in every journey of a teacher, where the best performers are rewarded.

We do not intend to stop here, our goal is for Albania 2030 to be the champion of the region in every aspect”, said Rama./ abcnews.al
