EU Ambassador to Albania Luigi Soreca spoke about justice reform, integration and the price crisis. Soreca calls on the Albanian government to show care for the needy and small business, due to rising prices, emphasizing that the rise in prices did not come as a result of sanctions, but as a result of the war.
“I am fully aware of the concern of Albanian citizens for the increase of food basket prices but also of fuel. It is very important to protect vulnerable groups, families and small businesses. This comes at the end of the war and not from sanctions. The EU will continue to help Albania as it did during the earthquake and pandemic.
The EU has given 250 million euros to Albania for the country’s economic recovery after the pandemic. “If the war continues, the EU will help Albania,” said Lugi Soreca.
