Elsa Lila, a renowned Albanian singer, is now behind bars following a police crackdown on an organized drug ring in Italy. La Repubblica reports that Lila was amongst 13 other Albanian and Italian citizens who were placed under arrest this morning in the capital city of Rome.
Along with the 40-year-old, renowned Albanian boxer – Petrit Bardhi – also known as Titty, has also been arrested. According to Italian anti-mafia investigators, the Italo-Albanian group, was involved in different kinds of drug deals in the capital city.
Another member of the group based in Acilia, according to the Italian press, was Arben Zogu – an infamous mafioso who is well known by Italian law enforcement.
To camouflage their illegal activities, the group had put up a front as a company distributing electronic devices for gambling parlors.
