Rector of the University of Tirana, Artan Hoxha has held this Monday a press conference, on the occasion of the launch of the 2023-2024 academic year. In his speech, Hoxha said that this year starts with a new dynamic, which is also related to the process of Albania’s integration into the EU.
Furthermore, the Rector emphasized that the University of Tirana, in the world ranking, ranks well and in the national position it is the best and by a margin. He added that Albanian universities have been ranking for about 5 years, it never happened before.
“Today, you are the students who start a new study cycle. I wanted to wish the 23 thousand students of the University of Tirana, a good academic year, in our programs, so that you are the contributors of the future in Albania, because you have chosen to study here.
We resume studies with a new dynamic, with more dedication, opportunities and modernized programs in the framework of the EU membership process.
Today we have 16 programs in English in all faculties. We have 3 effective joint programs with Western universities and 4 more in the process, making it possible for us to respond to needs.
Recently, a world ranking has been released, the position of UT has been highly ranked. I want to tell you that the first is a great achievement for the Albanian university for almost 5 years in the world rankings. We have never been ranked.
