The British ambassador in Kosovo, Nicholas Abbott stated that he has not yet read the draft statute of the Association of municipalities with a Serbian majority proposed by Prime Minister Edi Rama. According to him, Kosovo should listen to the advice coming from its friends and partners regarding the situation in North.
“This is a difficult time. And I think it would be completely normal for Kosovo to listen to advice coming from its friends and partners. Albania is a country that is very close to Kosovo.
We know there will be government talks next week, I’m sure there will be many issues on the table. My advice to the government would be to listen to all this, find the right way forward, but one (way) that shows understanding, for the concerns of its friends,” he said.
We recall that Prime Minister Rama declared yesterday in a press conference that he had proposed a draft for the association. The head of the government said that his proposal for the Association of municipalities with a Serbian majority in the north of Kosovo is a contribution to continue the dialogue between Pristina and Belgrade.
