Prime Minister Edi Rama, one day before the change of years, has made the balance of work and challenges of the government during 2021.
In his speech, Rama emphasized that the pandemic crisis is one of the challenges that the country and the world have faced during this year, emphasizing that they have managed to lead a liberated life to help the economy.
According to him, the spread of Omicron is one of the dangers that is blocking the whole world, so we must be careful and depending on the situation we will have a review of measures, but not a complete blockade as in the first months of the pandemic.
“I want to emphasize that today we are in the conditions when we have to prepare for a new pandemic wave due to the virus that is closing other countries. The Netherlands is closed until March 14. We will not hurry but we must know that nothing can happen if nothing happens and some measures will have to be taken without tightening the chain of life and economy as we have seen. In parallel we have guaranteed all doses of vaccines, the process goes but not properly. We have made an assessment and results and many citizens have been vaccinated abroad, we are ready for the new infectious disease hospital, which means reconstruction of the foundations of the existing hospital and its modernization, and we have 56 new ambulances that guarantee a service of European standards, said Rama.
