Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama warned this Tuesday the accommodation structures of Albania that next year they will have a reference price for taxes.

You think of hotels on the coast, you know very well, it’s no secret, it’s enough to do some small surveys through the tax office, to understand that the prices that are declared are different, the prices that are paid are different.
Another is the level of occupation and the level that is declared. Hotels must also prepare that they will have a reference price, but that’s all you will give to the state. We have 1.1 million tourists in September and if December will be in this trend, we may catch 10 million tourists, but we will probably exceed 9.
Both for the sale of apartments and for hotel rooms, we see no other way but not we can tell you that “no, we do not accept to receive 6% tax from you for this figure that you give us”. We will take this 6% that the market tells us”, said PM Rama.
