Prime Minister Edi Rama this Thursday was part of the ceremony organized in Durrës for the International Competition for the New Stadium Project as another center of the city.
In his speech, Rama said that as in Korça a few days ago and today there are three prestigious studios of contemporary architecture in the competition: 51N4E (Belgium) Bjarke Ingels Group, BIG (Denmark) and MVRDV (Netherlands), but that in order to continue the project we have to choose one.
According to the head of the government, this will be a good opportunity for the coastal city, which a few days ago decided to bring the Manchester City Academy to select young talents.
“It is a new city center where the goal is to have optimal conditions for the main competition, which is football, and to have a center full of life 24 hours a day, every day of the week.
Today we will have another spectacular project like the one a few days ago in Korçë, where among the three alternatives we found 1 and today the same thing. We will do much more for Durrës, Durrës is in a fantastic moment and we have a lot to do for it, there is a very meaningful future for the city.”
