Prime Minister Edi Rama met in New York with the US Undersecretary of State for Political Affairs, Victoria Nuland. Through a post on Facebook, the head of the government announces that they have talked with the senior American official about a number of issues.
Among other things, the focus of this meeting was Iran’s cyber-attack on Albania, the port of Durres, the energy crisis and the Open Balkans initiative.
“New York – With US Undersecretary of State for Political Affairs, Victoria Nuland, on Iranian aggression and the joint plan to strengthen cyber defenses; the new commercial port of Durres and the new naval base; the energy crisis and the solidarity between the pro-Ukraine alliance countries for coping with it; Albania’s role in the region, the Open Balkans as a platform for peace and the need for substantial progress in the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue ?????”, writes the prime minister.
Rama is in New York as part of the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
