Prime Minister Edi Rama, in a meeting with the employees of the Prime Minister’s Office, communicated the salary increase.
He stated that such an increase should have been made a long time ago, but the conditions have caused it to be delayed.
“It’s been so many years that we work together and for so many years you all work here with dedication and without a schedule, I believe that you have deserved it for a long time, but the opportunity to make it possible has only been created now and you know very well that many difficulties to overcome and how much work to do for this stage.
It is time to make a very significant salary increase“, said Rama.
On Wednesday, Prime Minister Edi Rama announced the plan of the government to increase average salaries to EUR 900 within two years.
