Prime Minister Edi Rama, in a press statement with the head of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Borjana Kristo, announced that the Albanian embassy in Sarajevo will be opened soon.

The head of the government also asked to enable the free movement of Kosovo’s citizens.

“I wish this to be an example of how all decisions and processes so important for the common welfare should be taken and implemented.

We want to strengthen relations with Bosnia and we are preparing for the opening of the embassy of the Republic of Albania in Sarajevo.

There is an Albanian community living in Bosnia and I am glad to say that the Bosnian community in Albania is guaranteed its linguistic, cultural and religious rights, which are guaranteed in the minority law of the Republic of Albania.

On the other hand, it is no secret that Albania also protects the interests of Albanians in Kosovo and in other countries, and I told the prime minister that we are interested in the agreements of the Berlin Process, and the agreement on free movement with an identity document for Albanian citizens Kosovo should be enabled because it is pointless to have problems of this nature while politics should support.

And, I want to believe that just as Serbia itself has signed those agreements, Bosnia and Herzegovina will do the same. On the other hand, I came here to inform him what we want to do at the October Berlin Process summit in Tirana”, said Prime Minister Rama.
