Prime Minister Edi Rama has congratulated this Wednesday the Albanian people on the occasion of Liberation Day from the Nazi-fascist invaders.
On the social networks, the Head of Government has shared a video from the “Mother Albania” monument, which is located at the entrance to the Nation’s Martyrs’ Cemetery.
“Good morning and along with the congratulations for the great celebration of liberation, I wish you all a peaceful day”, wrote PM Rama.
However, Albania was completely liberated on November 29, 1944. This symbolic date found not only Shkodra, but officially, all of Albania freed from the Nazi-fascist conqueror.
As such, Albania would be the only country in the Balkans, which would be freed by its own efforts.
During today’s day, it is expected that the highest heads of state will pay homage to the martyrs of the homeland, as a sign of commemoration of their sacrifices, who gave their lives for a free and independent Albania.
