Prime Minister Edi Rama has emphasized that the government will not back down in the face of the opposition, which has announced a protest in front of the Prime Minister’s Office on December 6.
Rama highlighted the summit as the most important event in Albania’s international relations and said that this is a matter of security for the European leaders who will come to Albania.
“Here there are no parties that withdraw or do not withdraw. Here is an activity that is the most important in the history of Albania’s international relations. It has never happened that the whole continent came down to Albania in support of Albania and that crystallized line that sees Albania as a key factor in the region and through the region then in Europe.
They cannot take Albania hostage, let alone a summit of this magnitude. This is where the security and guarantee of the required measures of leaders and delegations from all over Europe comes into play,” said Rama.
