The Prime Minister of the country, Edi Rama, continued his thanksgiving tour this Sunday, after the convincing victory in the majority of municipalities in the May 14 elections.
He said that thanks to the investments, many Albanians who are abroad have invested their savings in Albania. The chairman of the Socialist Party brought up the case of Tepelena, while he said that the immigrants of this area have invested millions of euros in hostels and accommodation structures, mainly hotels.
“There are 40 million euros invested by the emigrants from Tepelena, which are being returned to Tepelena to build hotels and guesthouses,” said Rama.
According to the Prime Minister, the decision to increase salaries in the public sector has “revived” the private sector as well, as the company has increased salaries for employees.
Analyzing the situation of May 14, Rama asked the mayors not to see it as a feeling of complacency, but as a challenge to serve the citizens correctly.
Further, Rama was clear by warning his subordinates that the time has come for a dignified service to the citizens. According to him, the practice of scorning and trampling citizens when they go to get a service in the state offices should end.
