About 8.5 million tourists have visited Albania from January to August this year. The figures were published by Prime Minister Edi Rama, who says that these translate into a super promotion for the country.
He says that in addition to the increase in the number, the geographical map of where foreign tourists come from has also expanded.
“8.5 MILLION foreign visitors enjoyed Albania from January to August this year, not only more in number compared to any previous year, but also with a diversity of countries of origin, where the characteristic markets definitely continue to consolidate, but there are always more and more tourists from distant and non-typical countries such as Mexico, Brazil, Canada, New Zealand and Australia, but also Azerbaijan, China and Japan, where the growing numbers also translate into a super-promotion for Albania , while the tourist year still continues with whole groups enjoying the attractions from north to south, from the Alps to the cultural sites, historical forts and UNESCO cities, without forgetting the fantastic food that has no comparison and the Albanian hospitality of the hoteliers who make us proud”, writes Rama.
