President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has reacted to the killing of policeman in the village of Banjska in LeposaviC during the early hours of Sunday morning.

In a social media statement, Osmani stated that the event is an attack on the Republic of Kosovo, organized and orchestrated by Serbian criminal gangs.

Meanwhile, she expressed the deepest condolences to the family of the murdered policeman and assured them that the perpetrators of this event will not be able to escape justice.

“Killing of a policeman and the wounding of another policeman in the north of Kosovo, planned, orchestrated and executed by Serbian criminal gangs, is an attack on law and order in the north of the country, it is an attack on Kosovo. These attacks prove once again the destabilizing power of criminal gangs, organized by Serbia, which for a long time, as has been proven with the attacks on KFOR members, journalists and citizens, are aiming to destabilize Kosovo and the region.

Organized attacks against the law enforcement forces of the Republic of Kosovo are attacks against the sovereignty of the Republic of Kosovo. In addition to strongly condemning this open aggression of Serbia towards Kosovo, I expect that our allies will support Kosovo in its efforts to establish law and order and preserve sovereignty in every part of the Republic of Kosovo.

I invite all citizens, institutions and political subjects to remain united at this time when Serbia is openly challenging the territorial integrity, security and sovereignty of our Republic. As the President of the Republic, I have full confidence in our boys and girls from the Kosovo Police”, underlined President Osmani.
