President of the Republic, Bajram Begaj has received this Friday the President of the Republic of Bulgaria, Iliana Iotova.
During the meeting, President Begaj appreciated the very good cooperation between the two countries, in a year that coincides with the 110th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Albania and Bulgaria.
High-level visits that the two countries have exchanged in recent years should continue even further in order to deepen cooperation in all spheres of mutual interest.
President Begaj appreciated Bulgaria’s support in the European integration of Albania, and considered Bulgaria an important economic partner.
According to the Head of State, the many opportunities that the two countries have should be used to further strengthen this partnership.
Furthermore, President Begaj praised Bulgaria’s continuous support towards the Republic of Kosovo as one more guarantee for the stability and progress of the Western Balkans.
