The presidency has organized this Friday the casting of lots for the election of members of the Justice Appointments Council (KED), who will take office on January 1, 2021, and will be the new KED body.
-Constitutional Court had 4 participants: Elsa Toska, Fiona Papajorgji, Marsida Xhaferllari and Vitore Tusha. With the drawing of lots, the two new members of KED from the ranks of the Constitutional Court were elected Marsida Xhaferllari and Elsa Toska. Fiona Papajorgji has been elected as a substitute member of the Constitutional Court.
-High Court had 3 participants: Sokol Sadushi, Ilir Panda and Ervin Pupe. Ervin Pupe was chosen after the lots were drawn, while Ilir Panda was elected a substitute member from the ranks of the High Court.
-The winner from the ranks of the General Prosecution is prosecutor Adnan Xholi. Kujtim Luli has been announced as a substitute member.
-The winners from the Courts of Appeal are judge Astrit Kalaja and judge Elona Toro. Substitute member has been elected judge Zegjine Sollaku.
-Two prosecutors representing the Courts of Appeal, as members of KED, have been elected: Prosecutor Gjon Fusha and prosecutor Genti Xholi. Substitute member of the Prosecutor’s Office at the Courts of Appeal has been elected prosecutor Kleant Zeka.
-From the ranks of Administrative Courts, the last member of KED has been elected judge Rilinda Selimi. Substitute member of KED as a representative of the Administrative Courts has been elected Gentiana Xhelili./abcnews.al
