The powerful earthquake that struck Albania marked the worst tragedy for the country.
Meanwhile, as 41 casualties have been confirmed and thousands of residents remain without home, there has been no lack of solidarity.
The head of the World Catholic Church, Pope Francis confirms that the Vatican will donate 100 thousand euros to the Albanian people ,which has been facing the worst humanitarian and natural disaster for nearly 40 years.
” We donate 100,000 euros to Albania. The money are to help the Albanian people ”, Pope Francis says in a note published by the Vatican Bulletin.
“Holy Father – the note explains – wants to express in this way his spiritual closeness and his paternal support for the people and territories affected. ”/abcnews.al
