Police director: 273 arrested in ‘Temple’ Mega-Operation

The General Director of the police, Muhamet Rrumbullaku, held a press conference regarding the ‘Temple 2’ operation developed throughout the country, where he gave even more details about the arrests and the checks carried out.

From the operation that, according to Rrumbullaku, started in December last year, it is known that the police have arrested 273 citizens, and a number of material evidences proving their criminal activity have been seized.

Rrumbullaku stated that 295 arrest warrants were issued, as well as 306 control warrants, while 26 persons were declared wanted.

“It was a successful operation. Operation Temple 2 began in the first week of December, and during this time the General Directorate of Police, in close cooperation with the General Prosecutor’s Office, initiated 66 proactive investigations to attack members of criminal groups. 295 restraining orders and arrest decisions were taken, as well as 306 control decisions. From the operation, the police managed to finalize the arrest of 273 citizens and a number of material evidences proving their criminal activity were seized.

The second phase of the operation is not only related to schools, but to the whole country and community areas. The focus of the state police has been to attack the phenomenon of drug distribution among teenagers. In this operation, in addition to issues related to narcotics, evidence related to the entirety of the following operation “Rule of Law” was seized,” Rrumbullaku declared.
