Two days before the local by-elections, the State Police has published the measures for the smooth running of this process. In a statement to the media, the director of Public Order at the State Police Ylli Vasili stated that today will end the escort by police structures of election materials from Tirana to the 13 KQZ in all municipalities where local elections will be held.
A large number of police officers will be on duty to monitor the election process.
“The State Police, until 03.03.2022, has engaged 780 police officers and has guaranteed 335 electoral activities conducted during the campaign. Today, the escort by the police structures of election materials from Tirana to 13 CEAZs in all municipalities where local elections will take place ends. So far no problems have been identified.
Special emphasis was given to the training of 1,297 State Police employees, who will be engaged in duties during the elections, according to the police management hierarchy, up to the basic level of police action. For the security of 941 Voting Centers and 13 KQZ, calculations have been made of Police employees, for transportation by vehicles, equipment, weapons, radio communication, food, etc., until their voting as citizens of the Republic of Albania.
Also, the stamps required by the KQZ were produced and delivered on time”, declared Vasili.
