Prime Minister Edi Rama started this Monday by commemorating the Kosovo police officer, Afrim Bunjaku, who was killed in the early hours of Sunday morning after a gun attack by an armed Serb group in the north of the country.
This reaction of Albania’s Head of Government came after Kosovo announced on Monday a day of national mourning in honor of the murdered policeman.
“Good morning with respect for the Kosovo Police officer, Afrim Bunjaku, who gave his life in the line of duty”, wrote the Head of Government on the social networks.

“The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, in support of the Constitution of Kosovo, has decided that Monday, September 25, 2023, will be declared a national day of mourning in honor of the policeman Afrim Bunjaku, killed in the north of the country. The state mourning will be on Monday, while the State Protocol is charged to undertake all the necessary actions for the implementation of this decision”.
