Prime Minister Edi Rama has vowed this Thursday morning that representatives of Albania’s Armed Forces will have dignified salaries and a pension in accordance with their ranks, as he invited the youths to join the army.

During the military promotion ceremony of the Olympic champions, the head of the government in his speech stated that the government will give its support to every sportsman of the country who until now has remained in the shadows and in complete abandonment by the state.

According to Rama, it is important that the champions, not only in sports, also set an example in the ranks of the Armed Forces.

“The three champions from Kosovo turn out to be under the same flag in the same mission with ambition and a united will not only for the purpose of sport but also of the Armed Forces.

Their inclusion and promotion as the highest colonel and the rest with other ranks according to their achievement in sports constitutes an added professional moral value beyond symbolism because the Albanian champions and champions will finally come out of the dark area of abandonment and oblivion. they will be among our soldiers, among their leaders they will be among all efforts to raise our army higher, putting their strength and example at the disposal of the creation and psycho-physical training of our forces.

They will not be forgotten champions and abandoned people because they will not only have a dignified salary, but also a pension despite the rank, and guarantee the appropriate contribution to their families. This is another strong reason for young girls and boys to join the armed forces.

Today the pay for a person in the armed forces with the lowest education is above the minimum wage and will go up every year. We have increased the salaries of the Armed Forces and we will increase them even more, since when they go to international countries, our soldiers will be paid the average of NATO and this will happen in a few years”, said PM Rama.
