Two brothers have been put in handcuffs this Sunday by the Police of Elbasan, as they are accused of having an arsenal of weapons. During the checks, 1 Kalashnikov, 1 pistol, 1 revolver, 1 shotgun and ammunition for them were found hidden in four bags.
According to the police, the brothers had hidden these weapons in four bags in their apartment. Meanwhile, weapons and combat ammunition were sent for expertise, in order to verify whether or not they were used for criminal events.
“Following the continuous work in the field, for the identification, capture and arrest of citizens who possess weapons, without permission, the services of the Peqin Police Station have provided information that 2 brothers possessed an arsenal of firearms in their apartment, in the neighborhood “Teqe”.
Based on this information, a several-day investigation was followed, with special methods, in cooperation with the Prosecutor’s Office of Elbasan, as a result of which, by the services of the Peqin Police Station and those of the Special Operational Force of DVP Elbasan, the police operation was finalized coded “Brothers”.
As part of this operation, controls were carried out in the apartment of the 2 brothers and in the surrounding area”, revealed the law enforcement.
