PD holds a minute of silence for Nishani’s death

The National Council of the Democratic Party has kept a minute of silence for the death of former President Bujar Nishani. Meanwhile, the counting of votes for the election of members of the party leadership continues.

Former President Nishani has died in a hospital in Germany from health complications as a result of several months of battle with COVID-19. He was 56 years old. Nishani was elected president of Albania in 2012 and served in this position for a full term until 2017.
