anian Parliament will gather this Friday in another plenary session to discuss once again the request of the Special Prosecution against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK) to strip former minister Arben Ahmetaj of his MP mandate and immunity in order to arrest him.
During the previous plenary session in the Parliament, there were strong debates, where the leader of the parliamentary group of the Democratic Party (DP), Gazment Bardhi, insisted that in this session the request of SPAK should be discussed and voted on without any delay.
After several hours of debate, however, the majority decided that Monday’s session will be held today, Friday, where the Parliament will remove Ahmetaj’s immunity and pave the way for SPAK to arrest him. In the ranks of the opposition, there were those who, in addition to pointing the finger of responsibility at the majority, also at themselves.
