The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, during the joint conference with the head of NATO, Jens Stoltenberg, said that the successes of her country are also successes of the North Atlantic Alliance.
According to her, today Kosovo has the brightest democracy in the region and this achievement is undoubtedly attributed to the alliance.
“We appreciate the role of NATO in the development of Kosovo. Kosovo’s successes are NATO’s successes and for that we are proud to have the most vibrant democracy in the region.
We should be proud of these achievements. Precisely because Kosovo is NATO’s historic success, there are malevolent forces that want to challenge and destroy it.
We must not allow this. Kosovo and the region should not be challenged because of Russian malice.
The north of Kosovo has been and will continue to be part of the Republic. We will not allow the north to be a battlefield for the hegemonic achievements of regional autocrats.
We are for the integration of the north. I have condemned the attacks of May 29 against KFOR soldiers, which were organized by Serbian crime. Our thoughts are with the injured soldiers,” she said.
Osmani further stated that, “Kosovo is a success story of NATO. We are ready to integrate other regions as well, giving them socio-economic space”, while Stoltenberg guaranteed that “We will work very hard in order to maintain strong relations with KFOR. We need NATO as a guarantor of peace and a defender of democracy, we are ready to do our job”, added Osmani.
