The heads of state paid homage to the Martyrs of the Nation Cemetery to honor the 77 th anniversary of the Liberation of Albania. President Ilir Meta, Prime Minister Edi Rama and Speaker of Parliament Lindita Nikolla laid flowers at the monument “Mother Albania”, thus honoring those who fell in the war.
Just like the day before in Vlora and in today’s ceremony, Meta and Rama avoided each other.
Meanwhile, Albanians this Monday commemorate the 77 th anniversary of the Liberation from the Nazi occupiers of World War II. As every year today there is a lack of homage from the Democratic Party. The rightists paid their respects the day before as they recognize November 28 as the day of Independence and Liberation.
