Prime Minister Edi Rama and the Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku talked about oil in Shpirag, which is at an advanced stage and approaching the decisive hour.
Rama said that this can have a historical impact on social development, but also on the geopolitical and geostrategic positioning of Albania.
The Prime Minister added that the final test to prove the stability of the gas and oil flow pressure will start in October and will last for 2-3 months, adding that even in the worst-case scenario, the benefits will still be great.
Rama emphasized that the oil is of premium quality, the same as that of Saudi Arabia, while work has started since last year to raise the sovereign fund, which is needed for the administration of natural assets.
He said that optimistic data have also come from the explorations in the field of Dumre, but there the work is at an initial stage.
