There are officially 26 victims confirmed by the powerful earthquake that struck Albania yesterday.
The Ministry of Defense stated today at noon that after verifying the latest data, the number of people who lost their lives is 26.
According to data from this institution, 12 people lost their lives in Durres, 13 in Thumana and one in the district of Lezha.
According to the Minister of Health there are 658 people injured by the earthquake who have received medical services.
Albania was hit on Tuesday by a powerful 6.4 magnitude earthquake, that shocked almost the whole country causing victims and several hundred injured.
Numerous damage was recorded to the buildings, houses and service buildings mainly in Durres, Thumana and Tirana, while the search and rescue operation is still ongoing. /abcnews.al
