The start of the new academic year at Eqrem Çabej University in Gjirokastra has started with various decisions regarding the performance of the coronavirus vaccine by students. The young people themselves have shared different opinions and there have been cases when students have not been vaccinated.
Some of them have taken this service as the only solution to attend the new academic year with physical presence, taking into account the order of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection.
For this year, 330 young people are enrolled at this university and the most preferred branches are those of nursing and economics, branches which are considered by young people to offer employment opportunities in the future, not only in our country but also abroad.
Rector Bektash Mema said that 45 percent of students have not been vaccinated. Mema has stated that the situation will be reviewed to find alternatives so as not to miss the school year. /abcnews.al
