NATO base in Kucova, a base with modern infrastructure for Alliance aircraft, was opened today. Present at this ceremony, General Pablo Sanchez De Lara praised Albania for its contribution to the Alliance, while adding that NATO has shown that it offers security and peace despite the challenges.
He also underlined that the inauguration of the Kucova base proves that our Alliance is quite engaged in this region.
“Albania is fully integrated with the aim of ensuring peace and security. This is its contribution to this part of the Alliance and it proves the stability of NATO.
By working in the air system we ensure security and build stability which is very important for NATO. The NATO alliance guarantees peace and protection regardless of who, regardless of whom.
This is the beauty of NATO, with its own challenges and solidarity. The inauguration of the Kucova base proves that our Alliance is quite engaged in this region.
Albania is ready to take responsibility to protect security and peace. I want to assure you that together we will always stand by your side”, he emphasized.
