Two Albanians convicted in Greece and Germany have been extradited to Albania. Mihal Merkuri is sentenced to 10 years for intentional homicide. Whereas, Silvester Driza, has founded a company Sh.p.k. and has carried out several fictitious transactions with the company that has the concession of the Fier incinerator.
“The cooperation between Interpol Tirana and counterparts continues, for the exchange of information with the aim of locating, capturing and arresting the persons announced as wanted internationally.
A 44-year-old man sentenced to 10 years in prison for intentional homicide, remaining on trial, is extradited from Greece.
In addition, a 30-year-old man is extradited from Germany to our country, with a security measure, “Arrest in prison”, for the criminal offense “Cleaning of the proceeds of a criminal offense or criminal activity”, carried out in cooperation.
As a result of the cooperation and exchange of information between Interpol Tirana and counterparts, in Greece it became possible to capture and extradite to our country the citizen Mihal Merkuri, 44 years old.
Also, as a result of the cooperation and exchange of information between Interpol Tirana and Interpol Wiesbaden, Germany, the Albanian citizen Silvester Driza, 30 years old, born in Durres, was arrested and extradited to our country.
The citizen has founded a company Sh.p.k. and has carried out several fictitious transactions with the company that has the concession of the Fier incinerator. Interpol Tirana continues the cooperation with counterparts for the localization and capture of other persons announced as international wanted.
