Unfortunately I failed as a parent and feel publicly shamed by my child. I apologize to my friends and colleagues in the parliamentary group and declare the surrender of the mandate of the deputy and my withdrawal from political life.
I apologize to those who have voted for me since 2000 as mayor and for 2 terms as deputy.
I apologize to the victims of that shameful violence for my family. In the end, thanks and apologies to the party chairman and the prime minister, who did not owe me anything for this great public concern that I caused,” he writes.
