Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku has vowed this Friday that the Thumanë-Kashar road segment, part of the Blue Corridor, will be accessible to citizens within 12 months.
She issued this statement during the axis construction’s works, accompanied by Prime Minister Edi Rama, stating that this is a road system that will consist of 11 bridges, 12 underpasses and intersections.
However, the Thumane-Kashar axis, part of the Blue Corridor, which is one of the most important axes, connects the north with the south, and 40% of the works have been completed so far.
“We are working on both volumes, meanwhile we do not have a highway that fulfills all the conditions, it is twice two lanes plus two emergency lanes. This project alone will have 11 bridges, 12 underpasses and two parts of connecting underpasses with dishevel.
All these open projects together have their own complexities that need to be set up so that there is no overlap.
From Murriqani to Kakavija, it is the duty of ARRSH to deal with all this. Within this year, we have in the project the completion of the route and within 12 months the completion of the entire road”, said Balluku.
