Interior Minister, Taulant Balla has warned this Wednesday that any officer who had access to communication networks such as “EncroChat” or “Sky” will be expelled from the State Police.

Minister Balla issued this warning while reporting to the Commission for European Affairs, considerig the measure as related to the security and activity of the State Police.

According to Balla, this is an ethical value, which will lead to the cleansing of the State Police structures.

“There were and are employees who were involved in the world of crime. I have asked the Police and AMP, since we are also in contact with Europol, to have information as soon as possible, for any employee who will be found to have had access to these communication networks EcroChat or Sky will be excluded by the police even if there is no criminal activity in those communications.

The fact that he has access to such a network, this is part of my commitment related to the code of ethics in the state police, it is forbidden for an employee to sit in a cafe or restaurant with people with a criminal background, this also applies to virtual meetings with crime. This rule will apply to everyone.

SPAK is investigating on the basis of the data made available by Europol and we will have concrete data”, said Balla.
