The President of the Republic Ilir Meta in his statement to the media this Monday stressed out that it is very important that the authorities and all the people need to focus on managing the situation created by the pandemic and on Albania’s path to the EU.
The Head of State stressed out that avoiding the main priorities that would curb the spread of COVID-19 would be a very serious responsibility, as the fist ones costs the lives of the citiziens and the second costs, to the country the common dream of Albanians.
Meta also stated that he would convene the Security Council again if it will be necessary, but he had previously requested a meeting with Health Minister Ogerta Manastirliu.
“I have requested an official meeting with the Minister of Health and I believe that we will implement it as soon as possible in order to judge together which will be the greatest support that the president can give, but every citizen should behave more responsibly, carefully about his life, the lives of family members, friends wherever he lives and works as there seems to be a thoughtlessness that has led to a deterioration of indicators and this does not help us to open our borders either with EU countries.
