President of the Republic, Ilir Meta praised President of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi’s act of resignation, adding that he believes in the innocence of him and all his comrades-in-arms, as has been confirmed in the past.
This reaction of Albanian President came after Hashim Thaçi resigned from the post of President after the communication of the indictment by the Hague Tribunal, as he wanted to go and face the indictment free of President’s role

I appreciate the act of resignation of the President of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, to face the accusations and I believe in his innocence and that of all his comrades-in-arms, as has been confirmed in the past.
