The chairman of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, met with the head of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha. The meeting is taking place in the blue headquarters and the focus is on the 2023 local elections.
This is the second meeting that Meta and Berisha hold together at the blue headquarters. Three weeks ago, Meta went to a meeting with Berisha, where they confirmed that they will cooperate for the local elections.
Two days ago, on October 24, the country’s President Bajram Begaj decreed May 14, 2023 as the date for local elections.
The President assessed the period until the elections as very important for the successful conclusion of this democratic challenge for the institutions, political parties and the entire Albanian society, as well as emphasized that it is time to demonstrate commitment and institutional cooperation, political maturity and civic responsibility.
