Prime Minister Edi Rama hold a press conference together with the representative of the EU, Josep Borrel, after the meeting they had in Brussels. Rama first said that he feels good when he hears good words about the country’s process, as a result of the reforms.

He added that he and Borrell also discussed the situation in North, the danger it can cause in the Region and the possibility to stop it as soon as possible. The prime minister said that as many important EU and US leaders should be present at the conference between Kurti and Vucic and the parties should not be allowed to leave the conference without an agreement.

“We are ready in time to take the next step. It was a pleasure to share common opinions on something very important, which concerns the security of the region. We are a region that has suffered a lot and there can be no other disadvantage and in this region the events are closely connected and we cannot just look at our home, regardless of what is happening with the neighbors and the devastating consequences that it may have only for Serbia and Kosovo.

I am very happy that we managed to free the policemen and now it is time to make immediate interventions so that the situation does not escalate. We are committed to working with allies to prevent this situation from damaging region, as we have many other things to do.

We have done a lot and we cannot allow this to be destroyed by an absurd development based on such absurd claims,” stated Rama.
