The Mayor of Tirana Erjon Veliaj has arrived at SPAK premises. He did not give a statement to the media, however, a few days ago he warned that he would submit to the Prosecutor’s Office the files on all matters, including the incinerator and the ‘5D’ one.
Regarding the latter, on March 28 SPAK issued arrest warrants for 9 former officials of the municipality of Tirana. Among those arrested are the former director of IMT, Mariglen Qato, and the former director of UKT, Redian Molla.
According to SPAK, a company secretly run by Mariglen Qato, former director of IMT and Redi Molla, former director of Water and Sewerage, won from 2016 to 2020 tenders in violation of the law from the Municipality of Tirana and subordinate institutions hers.
