Local elections, Meta: To announce the decree as soon as possible

The head of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, has said that he supports every decision of the president regarding the date of the local elections.

In a press conference, Meta said that he asked the president to announce the decree an hour ago, while he said that it would be good if the local elections were held tomorrow.

“Any date that chooses the presidency enjoys our full support. Is it possible to hold local elections today, tomorrow Albania will wake up better? Because today there is no councilor of the opposition in the local government controlled by the government. I told the president to announce the decree an hour before so that we all know the date of the elections and secondly, I support his every decision”, said Meta.

We remind you that the date of May 14 next year has been discussed today as the possible date of the local elections, with the Socialist Party expressing such a preference, while the decision of the opposition is still awaited.
