The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, is holding a joint conference with the Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Mark Rutte, and the Prime Minister of Luxembourg, Xavier Bettel.
Kurti said during his speech that the agreement agreed with Serbia should be implemented and that the biggest mistake was not signing it.
The difficulties we have is the lack of implementation of the agreement and I believe it starts by letting this process pass without signature from both sides. This was a big mistake because not signing the agreement opened the door for violations.
What is needed is the rapid implementation of all points without preconditions or delays. I believe this is the solution and we must intensify the dialogue for implementation.
We must not renege on the deal. Prime Minister Rutte and Bettel, all European leaders, Brussels as the dual capital of NATO and the EU should not give up the basic agreement,” Kurti said.
Before the conference, the European prime ministers held meetings with Kurti and with the president of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani. Their visit comes at a time when the internationals have punished Kosovo for the approach related to the tensions in the north while they have presented some conditions for the normalization of the situation.
