Mayor of Kruja, Artur Bushi has appeared this Friday morning at the premises of the Special Prosecutor’s Office against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK).
Against him have been filed several reports for abuse of office and violation of the equality of tenders. Bushi has presented himself as a person who has knowledge, to give clarifications about these allegations, while he has been often accused by the opposition about his past.
On Wednesday, Mayor of Bulqiza, Lefter Alla, was arrested during the police operation finalized by order of SPAK. Along with Alla, some officials of the Municipality of Bulqiza, who were members of the commissions for public tenders, were also accompanied.
Alla is accused of abuse of public tenders and corruption during the exercise of his duties as mayor of Bulqiza. However, his arrest occurred two months away from local elections expected to be held on May 14.
